The following workshops are held at Meadow Herbs Clinic in the village of Brooke, just south of Norwich. A lovely setting with a large garden full of herbs, wild tamed and cultivated, which you are free to wander round during the sessions.

Saturday 10th March 2012 - A Herbal Approach to Cleansing
This workshop will look at cleanses and detoxification programmes. We will discuss why cleansing is important, how to do a cleanse safely and effectivley, and how diet and herbs play an important part in the process. We will also look at supporting natural healing methods such as skin brushing and water therapy. The session is from 10am till 2pm. I will provide drinks throughout but you may wish to bring a light snack with you. I will also provide you with comprehensive notes and there will be an opportunity to sample herbs and juices.

Saturday May 2012 (date to be confirmed) - Getting to know your herbs
A day to wander round my garden looking at herbs both in a wild and cultivated setting. We will discuss how to identify herbs for healing and promoting health. It is an opportunity to learn more about common 'weeds', wildflowers and kitchen herbs, looking at their history and folklore as well as how to prepare them for your own use as family remedies. The session is from 10am till 2pm. I will provide drinks throughout but you may wish to bring a light snack with you. I will provide notes and there will be an opportunity to sample simple remedies.

Saturday 2nd June 2012 - Herb Walk around Salhouse Broad
An opportunity to wander around Salhouse Broad looking at the wide range of plants that grow in this special place. Again we will discuss the history, folklore and medicianl uses of this diverse range of plants. Saturday 30th June 2012 - Making Herbal Remedies
This workshop follows on from the identification days - showing you how to make simple remedies from easily available herbs. We will be making tinctures, glycerates, infused oils, poulticies, ointments and plant essences. We will discuss the best herbs to use and when and how to use them. The session is from 10am till 2pm. I will provide drinks throughout the session but you may wish to bring a light snack with you. I will also provide notes and there will be an opportunity to sample remedies and take a few samples home with you.

Saturday September 2012 (date to be confirmed) - Lotions, Balms, Creams and Powders
This is much more a pampering session, making a range of body products for yourself and as presents for friends and family. Using natural products I will show you how to make your own range of beauty products adapting them to suit yourself. The session is from 10am till 2pm. A lovely day to prepare for the festive season. We will look at a range of seasonal herbs such as cinnamon, cloves, frankinscence and myrrh. We will discuss how to use them in cooking and decoration as well as their history, folklore and medicial uses. You will be able to make a few simple decorations to take away with you.
