Herbalism

Herbalism is the tradition of treating the body’s ailments with naturally growing plants.

In recent years the increase in awareness of these wonderful plants has led to scientific research confirming what herbalists have known for hundreds of years. Used wisely and appropriately, herbs will heal the body’s disease and return it to its natural balance.

Within my clinic I work with herbal tinctures, powders, capsules and teas with a range of over 150 different herbs. The majority of herbs used within my clinic are grown in the UK on a biodynamic organic farm, which honours the relationship between the planetary influences on plant life and the rhythms of nature. Where it is not possible to obtain an organic herb, alternative conventionally grown herbs are sourced from suppliers who ensure ethical and sustainable practice.

Iridology

Many potential and acute weaknesses within the body show up in the iris of the eye. By studying the iris of the eye I am able to understand the many different aspects that make up an individual’s health. By the use of iridology I am able to assess and define the organs involved or observe that there may be some emotional element to the condition and treat the pathways of your condition more accurately.

Natural Healing

The body wants to build and repair itself; however it requires the right balance of vitamins and minerals to do so. It also needs to be as free from environmental toxins as possible to be as ‘natural’ as possible. Learning how to nurture your body and accepting responsibility to change are the essential basics of natural healing. Skin brushing, hot and cold treatments, massage and dietary changes are all part of the natural healing process.

Massage

Massage is one of the oldest and simplest of medical treatments, rubbing an aching shoulder or soothing a furrowed brow are healing instincts common to all cultures. The physical benefits, such as improved circulation, relaxed muscles and the psychological feelings of being nurtured produce a sense of well being which is unique. Massage can ease pain and stress, both physical and emotional, aid relaxation and improve sleep, detoxify and balance all body systems and is beneficial for a wide range of conditions.
